Silvina M. Bocca
MD, PhD, HCLD
Silvina M. Bocca, MD, PhD, HCLD has over 20 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of female and male infertility and in IVF laboratory embryology. She is subspecialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility as well as a certified Embryologist and High Complexity Laboratory Director.
Dr. Silvina Bocca graduated with a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Old Dominion University and Eastern Virginia Medical School. She initiated her career as an embryologist at the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine and later became a certified Laboratory Director. She then completed medical school, Ob/Gyn residency, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship at EVMS, where she currently serves as Professor in the Master of Clinical Embryology program.
She is experienced in all areas of Assisted Reproductive Technologies including in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer, as well as endoscopic surgery. Her clinical interests include treatment of recurrent miscarriage, fertility preservation, premature ovarian insufficiency, and male infertility. Well-regarded in the mid-Atlantic community, she has earned numerous accolades for her quality, patient-centered care. She has also received invitations to participate in national and international scientific conferences and to advise pharmaceutical expert panels.
Dr. Bocca is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), where she serves as Chair of the Coding Committee. She is also a member and former Vice President of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).
Dr. Bocca’s passion is driven by the bonds she builds with her patients over the course of their lives and the enjoyment she holds in helping them become a family.

From the moment we stepped foot into the Procreate Newport News locations, we knew we were right where we were supposed to be. Procreate is the way to go to build a family! I had phenomenal experience at Procreate. I’d learned so much how female/male body works of when conceiving and what they offer to help create a family. I was going through personal health problems and didn’t think I could conceive. My husband and I were in the works to start the fertility process and was told I needed surgery from my diagnosis. Miraculously I got pregnant naturally before the process started. If I could more but it’s definitely 10/10 hands up! I am so thankful and blessed the team were very supportive of different obstacles I went through but I want to specifically give shout out to my favorite nurses Chelsey and Lydia, Corrine (front desk), Dr. Katherine Duey, and Stacey Seeley, Labratory Lady, Anesthesiologist Lady, but most all want to give huge praise Dr. Boca. I graduated from this clinic when I was 10 wks pregnant and miss this team dearly. Currently 6 months pregnant with a baby boy (1st child) and plan to come back in the near future if needed. Thank you Procreate Team!

This holiday season we are thankful for all of the wonderful staff at Procreate for helping us conceive our wonderful daughter, specifically Dr Perez, Mary Jo and Amaya as they all played huge roles in where we are today. Procreate honestly changed my life, and I will forever be grateful for everyone there. After having a miscarriage and struggling to get pregnant again, we were referred to Procreate. From day one I felt like I was in great hands with a team that actually cared. I am now 11 weeks pregnant and “graduated” to my OB but I can’t praise the ladies at Procreate enough, especially Stacey, Crystal and Kim. They made me feel so cared for, answered all my questions, and truly held my hand every step of the way. When I had concerns, they offered reassurance, and truly wanted what’s best for me. They have been such key people in my journey and I so grateful for their help! Corrine at the front desk was also always amazing and greeted me with a smile and always asked how I was. I can not recommend the team at Procreate enough. They are true professionals who are passionate about what they do!
